These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MyStudStats platform ("Service") operated by MyStudStats ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

MyStudStats is a stud farm management platform that allows you to track animals, breeding records, health events, feed, weight, and financial data. The Service is provided as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform accessible via web browser.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
One account per person. Business accounts may have multiple user seats depending on tier.

3. Subscription & Billing

Free tier: up to 50 active animals, no time limit, no credit card required.
Paid tiers: 14-day free trial, then billed monthly or annually via PayFast.
All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include 15% VAT.
Annual subscriptions are subject to a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Full refunds are issued if cancelled within this period.
Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. Access continues until the end of the paid billing period.

4. Your Data

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into MyStudStats.
We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your animal records, breeding data, or farm information.
You may export your data at any time.
After account cancellation, data is retained for 30 days. After this period, an administrator may permanently delete it.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or our systems.
Upload malicious content or interfere with the Service's operation.
Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission.
Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service.

6. Service Availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance via email. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party providers (Supabase, PayFast, Vercel).

7. Limitation of Liability

MyStudStats is a record-keeping tool and does not provide veterinary, financial, or legal advice. We are not liable for decisions made based on data in the platform. Our total liability is limited to the subscription fees paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
